Credit derivative is no longer the new kid on the block. Credit derivatives comprises of a broad range of instruments and have been around for about a decade in India. Initially it was a sophisticated instrument only to be played by the ivy Investment bankers, but now, credit derivatives are used to manage risk and also used by some for pure speculation.
